Switching to software sounds hard. Done in steps, it takes about a week.
Day 1: set up
Business details, branches, your services and starting prices.
Day 2: staff
Add staff with their roles. Technicians can use a simple PIN.
Day 3: practice
Use practice data to try job cards and bills. Make mistakes there, not with real customers.
Day 4–5: start with new customers
Every new vehicle goes into the software. Keep the paper register for old ones for now.
Day 6–7: bring old customers
Import your old customer list from Excel.
After a week
Erase the practice data and run fully on software.
